DIY Poster-Size Printable Images
I recently used SnazzyMaps to create a 24" x 36" engineering print. I found it very tedious to have to stitch together various image seams to get a large enough view. I think the downloadable images feature you currently have would be worth a premium if you added better control over the size and zoom-level to save at a standard, printable resolution.
You can read more about my use of SnazzyMaps here https://www.reddit.com/r/malelivingspace/comments/6to5c2/new_wall_art_for_about_50_total/dlmcvjp/

I can not access my saved maps. I keep getting "Page not found." Really frustrating because I have to recreate it everytime I need to take a new screenshot. Please fix this issue!!!

Remove target="_blank" for mailto links.
When you add a mailto link in the popup, the map builder automatically adds target="_blank". This is not nice for mailto links, as a new tab will open before opening the current mail application.

Organization of map markers
I am using the map to show the locations of all of the documentaries my organization has made and labeling them by season, which there are 23 of. I want to be able to manually go back and organize the markers by season and episode number. I have tried to create them in order, but there are some I have to go back and add later. Being able to organize the markers, even alphabetically, would be very helpful. Maybe there is already a way of doing this that I am not seeing? Thank you!

Download Image needs to reference original source
The point of Downloading the map image would be to propose a selection of colour schemes to either a client or the design team. It needs to contain a reference so that once a color is decided upon it can be linked back to the original source on Snazzy Maps website
9 votesThat’s an interesting idea and I can definitely see the benefit. We might be able to make something but the tricky problem would be to get a unique ID for every possible style combination. There are a lot! We’ll have to see what’s possible.
Thanks for the feature request!

Add "forgot password" to login popup form.
Would be nice to access "forgot password" from the login popup form that is presented when trying to save.

STYLE CODE
trying to utilize the Sketch plugin, but asking for a Snazzy Maps style code which I can't seem to figure out on your site. Please advise
1 voteAdminAdam Krogh (Admin, SnazzyMaps) responded
Hi,
They probably mean to copy the “JavaScript Style Array” that you see on our site when viewing a style.
You can click the “Copy code to clipboard” button on the side panel or copy the entire code and paste it into your Sketch plugin. Hopefully that works out for you!

Something has changed when I preview the map and select an area that I'd like to use. The map is somehow clipped to the download size.
Something has changed when I preview the map and select an area that I'd like to use. The map is somehow clipped to the download size, so that I can't see the whole map. Its driving me crazy!!!!
Great work though and very clever and useful.
But How do I turn off the download feature that is clipping my map?1 vote -
North Arrow
consider including a small north arrow option for users to download into their map image.

Improve saving features
I don't know if I'm just being stupid, hopefully not, but it would be nice to be able to make amends to an existing map and save as a different one without overwriting the one I was editing. I just done some edits, and renamed the file, and saved it and it's overwritten the existing one which is pretty annoying. Now I've lost the original set of changes :(
5 votesHi,
Thanks for submitting this idea! It definitely makes sense if you want to save the style as a new one with a different name. However, we will still need to support users who just want to change the name of a style and not create a new one.
We might be able to have another popup that is displayed asking if you want to save as a new style or update your existing one.
We’ll have to think about this one for a bit!
Thanks again

An option to do "COPY CODE TO CLIPBOARD" with javascript Minifier
So that we can copy the following
[
{
"featureType": "administrative",
"elementType": "all",
"stylers": [
{
"visibility": "on"
}
]
}
]like such:
[{"featureType":"administrative","elementType":"all","stylers":[{"visibility":"on"}]}]13 votesHey,
That sounds like a cool idea. We’ll have to think about how to show two copy buttons but it seems do-able.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Preview with background colour
It could be nice to have an option to change the background color of the preview grid, so when developing a site with a dark background the user could see which style fits better with that color, instead of copying and testing in the final site.

google map with styles, not work when add marker in ionic 2
hi
When I put a marker on a map that has custom styles in mapOptions I only have the marker and the map with the specific style only a brief moment appears the custom map and then it is gray when i test the APK in the device, only the marker appears, when I comment styles, the map is normal display with marker, or comment the marker shows the map with the styles.
Why does that mistake happen?

Hi,
I’m not too familiar with Ionic 2. It seems possible from this blog post:
https://www.christianengvall.se/ionic2-google-maps/
As for your issue, does it work with the simplest style possible (just one feature and one style)? Could it be the format of the JSON object? Maybe incorrect quotes or missing semi colon?
Let me know if you figure it out.

infinite scroll
Navigation would be so much easier with infinite scroll, instead of clicking for each page
3 votesAdminAdam Krogh (Admin, SnazzyMaps) responded
Hi,
Infinite scrolling is nice to use right up until you click a style to view more information about it and then go back to the browse page. Most sites don’t save where you were scrolled down to and you end up at the beginning again. It ends up being a tricky issue to solve.
We debated adding infinite scroll but ended up with separate pages due to the back button and saving scroll position issue.
Let us know what you think.

Update the shades of grey theme to not break under styled Static Maps.
The shades of grey theme (https://snazzymaps.com/style/38/shades-of-grey) currently breaks under Static maps. The required fix is to delete the saturation from

Please let us search by Hex colours!
If I need to match the map to my colour scheme exactly, without spending time editing / creating my own, it would be great to see if anyone has created a map with the colour I'm looking for first. Cheers
6 votesHey,
That’s a really cool idea and one I have thought of adding before. The difficulty arises because in addition to just the hex color, you can define saturation, lightness, and gamma. Not to mention you can tweak just the hue of any element as well. Calculating the resulting hex color sounds really difficult to me and might not even be possible if we don’t get all the data from Google that we need.
I’d like to add something similar to the Dribbble color search (https://dribbble.com/colors/66ee78) but we might have to look into what is actually possible for the styles.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Allow tab to enter
Pressing tab when completing a text field results in half the editing area scrolling out of view. This is unrecoverable except by reloading the page. Incredibly frustrating!

Fix the edit module.
I got big problems editing a map. After a number of operations like switching things off and on, I get the basic map with no option to edit anymore. And please create a function to COPY styles I made, so I can vary on the theme. I now have to save over my previous wrok.
1 voteHi,
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately there is a limit to how many styles that Google applies to the map. Beyond this limit they revert to the map’s default styles. I’ve raised a bug with Google here:
https://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=8043
At the moment there is no workaround for the issue other than trying to reduce the number of styles you are using, sorry! Instead of toggling off all of the most specific features, try disabling one of the parent features and clearing out all the settings underneath it. Hopefully Google will find a better way to support this in the future.
As for the copy feature, this is something we are looking into adding as well. For now, you can copy the JSON from one of your styles and create a new style using the JSON Import feature. This way you’ll essentially be able to copy a style but I agree, a…
