That’s an interesting idea and I can definitely see the benefit. We might be able to make something but the tricky problem would be to get a unique ID for every possible style combination. There are a lot! We’ll have to see what’s possible.
Thanks for the feature request!

When previewing a style, if you open the "Download Image" panel we resize the map to the dimensions you have selected with the sliders. This is in order to give you a sample of the size of the map that will be exported. Closing this panel should remove this cropping though and revert you back to a full sized map. Does that help at all? I might be misunderstanding your issue, let me know if this helps you out at all.

Hi,
I’m not too familiar with Ionic 2. It seems possible from this blog post:
https://www.christianengvall.se/ionic2-google-maps/
As for your issue, does it work with the simplest style possible (just one feature and one style)? Could it be the format of the JSON object? Maybe incorrect quotes or missing semi colon?
Let me know if you figure it out.

We would really like to add something to make it easier for people to add markers to the map. We will be looking into some solutions in the future but if anyone has any suggestions, please comment here.
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminAdam Krogh (Admin, SnazzyMaps) commentedHi Alan,
This isn't possible with only custom styles. Styles apply to all features/elements on the map, regardless of country or region.
You could possible highlight countries using a fusion tables layer like this:

I think in terrain view, only labels can be styled but we'll have to look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminAdam Krogh (Admin, SnazzyMaps) commentedWe don't have any plans at the moment but we have had a little bit of interest so we might start to look into some possibilities. We also have an API so if anyone wants to make a plugin of their own, go for it!

You're right, looks like we might have caused this bug in our switch over to flexbox in the latest version. We are looking into a fix right now and will try and get a new release out in the next couple of days.
Thanks for letting us know!

Hey,
That’s a really cool idea and one I have thought of adding before. The difficulty arises because in addition to just the hex color, you can define saturation, lightness, and gamma. Not to mention you can tweak just the hue of any element as well. Calculating the resulting hex color sounds really difficult to me and might not even be possible if we don’t get all the data from Google that we need.
I’d like to add something similar to the Dribbble color search (https://dribbble.com/colors/66ee78) but we might have to look into what is actually possible for the styles.
Thanks for the suggestion!
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminAdam Krogh (Admin, SnazzyMaps) commentedUsing that Vibrant.js library is an awesome idea! We already take screenshots of all the styles so feeding those through that library might actually work out great. I'll have to do some tests with it to see how well it works but it sounds promising. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to see if there is a standard set of query parameters that Google supports through their API. If there isn’t we would have to just make our own query params and initialize the map with them.
I’ll look into what’s possible.

You're right, it would work with styles that have been saved. I was more thinking of styles that have been customized by the user or styles that haven't been saved at all. You can tweak a couple colors on a style and then download the image too. But that solution would definitely work for the regular saved styles.
