when i put the map on my site it is centered above new york systematically, how can I get it centered on another city?1 vote
You can change the default center of the map with step 2 in the side panel called “Size & Location”. You can search for a location that you’d like to center at and then click “Apply Changes”. The map on your site should be updated with the new map center.
Hopefully that helps you out.
If there was a reference ID for each map then Developers could let their User Base choose their own custom map colour schemes. By providing the ID a web Application could grab the JSON object of Map Data directly from Snazzy Maps and add it to the User Profile's Data collection.
This reduces the possibility of a Malicious injection by providing a trusted source of Map Data AND further cements Snazzy Maps as a de facto standard for Map Styles1 vote
This should all be possible through our developer API. Let us know if it’s missing any features that you need. Thanks!
When you hit the arrow the close the left side menu bar of any map, it does not then show the rest of the right side of the map. What part of the map that should have been exposed by closing the side bar is blocked by an empty box and will not allow you to fully expand. Please fix this.1 vote
Thanks for letting us know about your issue. You’re right, it looks like the map wasn’t resizing correctly.
I’ve fixed the issue and have released a new version of the site. The map should now resize correctly when collapsing the side menu. Let me know how it works for you now.
my map downloaded as a gray square...1 vote
Thanks for letting us know about your issue download a map image. We fixed an issue in the download process. Could you try it out again and let us know how it looks?
hi, I am a Chinese, I am establishing a foreign trade website. I want the map to be showed with English, where could I set?
about the language setting1 vote
You can change the Google Maps language by including an extra query parameter when including the Google Maps API script. For example:
You can see more about Google Maps language settings here:

Firstly, great work on this! I love it!
I really need an option to edit the size and style of the font, i'm creating some static maps for elderly people and they are unable to see the street names at the current size,
Is something like that possible?
Google doesn’t have support for increasing the font size of text on their map. The best you could do is to increase the browser zoom level or maybe use the CSS “zoom” property.
Let me know if these work for you or if you find another workaround.
I want to make maps with labels (countries, etc) in Spanish (or other languages)..1 vote
You can set the language used on the map in the script tag that you include in your HTML. Read more about this feature in Google’s documentation here:
And an example from Google here:
Hopefully this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
it would be nice if you provide a simple solution to add a marker (pin)7 votes
Is snazzy maps against google terms?
Part of permissions I'm thinking of:
For example, Google My Maps lets you draw lines and shapes on a Google map. We also offer a Styled Maps API that allows you to edit the colors of individual map components (for example, changing water to purple), as well as toggle visibility for each component (for example, making roads invisible).1 vote
Let me know if you have any other questions.
There are dozens of unstyled maps by "service solahart jakarta barat" that are pushing actual content out of view.1 vote
Sorry about that. We’ve been dealing with this same spammer for a while now. We are working on ways to stop it in the future but for now I just removed all those useless styles. Thanks for letting us know.
It would be great if you could set and save the default location that the map is being used for.
Use case: I'm styling something specifically around Sydney, and have to zoom out out out and the in in in =)6 votes
Sorry for not updating this topic sooner. We have fixed this issue and your current map location is now correctly loaded within the editor. Thanks!

I can't for the life of me find where to delete one of my styles. I have a bunch that I've made and some are duplicates of ones I've tweaked, and I want to remove them but I can't find a delete/remove function anywhere.7 votes
You can now delete one of your styles from the editor. First click “Edit” on one of your styles. The “Delete” icon (a trash can) will be located in the toolbar of the editor.
We really want to add a tool to the website that will allow users to create their own styles. There are a few tools out there right now but they aren't quite perfect.31 votes
We have added a style editor that works directly with a Google Map in real time.
great looking maps - was wondering how easy it would be to add maps into a wordpress post/page? could the code be pasted into the page as html?1 vote
We finally released a helpful way to use these styles within WordPress with our first official plugin:
Check it out and let me know if you have any other suggestions.
Installed SM plugin on a WordPress 4.1.1 site. If I try to save styles or enter an API key, I get a PHP error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /path/to/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/template.php:1877) in /path/to/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/snazzy-maps/admin/index.php on line 241 vote
We’ve released an update to the plugin that should fix this issue. Please update to version 1.0.1 from within WordPress or re-download the zip file from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/snazzy-maps/
Hopefully this fixes your issue but let me know if you are still experiencing the same problem.
